Before configuring the Foundation connector, you must complete the relevant ERP connection setup guide. These instructions differ if you are integrating a cloud environment or an on-prem environment.
When setting up the Foundation connector, review the following fields and enter values where necessary.
Real-time Action Processing
This feature should always be enabled for optimal performance. Only disable it if you are advised to do so by support.
Run Services on Connector App
This feature should be enabled if you installed the XChangeAgent as part of your ERP connection setup, such as for an on-prem environment. Otherwise, it should be disabled.
Foundation DB connection string
Create the Foundation Database connection string using info from your initial ERP setup. Insert the appropriate values into each field below, separated by semicolons.
Server=[the hostname of your Foundation database],[the port number] (For hosted Foundation instances, the hostname is sql.foundationsoft.com and the port is 9000.)
Database=[the database name associated with your Foundation installation]
User ID=[the username of your registered XChangeServiceUser account in Foundation]
Password=[the password for the above user]
For example, Server=sql.foundationsoft.com,9000; Database=TRIMBLECONSTRUCTION; User ID=CharlieT; Password=Hunter2
