User Journey
App Xchange users will navigate considerably different paths through the platform depending on their subscription type and goal.
The App Xchange platform contains many different features. Depending on your subscription type, you may only interact with some of these features. Read on for an overview of the most common user roadmaps.
Regardless of what your goal on the platform is, you should review the rest of the Getting Started section before diving deeper.
Building an Integration
If you want to build and deploy integration products that automate workflows and synchronize data between your software systems and others, follow these steps. You can then sell these integration products to your existing customer base. App Xchange for Product users will typically follow this basic roadmap to success.
If necessary, create new connectors for your products using the Connector SDK or set up the HTTP connector. For more information, see HTTP or SDK and Build a Connector.
Create your integration using our integration builder at the account level. Add connectors, features, services, flows, and jobs to your integration. For more information, see Moving Data.
Sync your integration to your development workspace to test your flows. Make changes to the integration using Integration Builder at the account level and iterate.
Certify your integration to validate that it is ready for sale. For more information, see Certify Your Integration.
List your integration on Trimble Marketplace for enhanced visibility and co-selling opportunities. For more information, see List Your Integration on Trimble Marketplace.
Your integration is complete and listed for sale. Onboard new customers to manage their data exchange. Use the Account Dashboard to support your customers by monitoring the health of your integration.
Moving Data
All customers will move data, whether you are testing an integration in a development workspace, customizing a deployed integration, or building flows directly in an automation workspace.
An App Xchange for Contractors license enables companies to build and deploy custom integrations that automate workflows and synchronize data across software systems. App Xchange for Contractors users will typically follow this basic roadmap to success.
Configure your product connectors and access cache write data. For more information, see Connectivity.
See Flow Authoring to begin moving data immediately in an automation workspace, or adding to a deployed integration.
Develop and customize your flows.
Your flows are moving data. Whether you’ve built flows directly in an automation workspace or added to a deployed integration, monitor your data health using the Account Dashboard, Tasks, and flow step emails.
