Flows can be used to build relationships between records. These relationships help ensure the correct records are updated. The ability to view these records allows users to help troubleshoot a flow if something went wrong.
You can access this page through the Data tab of a flow or by selecting a cache object in the Cache Explorer and choosing a result.
App Xchange opens the Record Detail page. Here you can see the object's details, activities, and related records.
Activity
Actions show detailed views of what actions happened with the object.
Triggered flows display any flow instances that were triggered by this cache record, as well as summary information about them. You can also navigate directly to a linked flow or run a detail view of the flow. Triggered flows that have a batch icon lets you know that it was part of a work request batch.
Work requests displays a timeline of work requests that were created or modified with the record that you’re viewing. You can track down the details of the batch that did the processing instead of having to manually check each batch that ran against the cache object. The most recent data is listed first.
The flows timeline also allows you to navigate directly to a linked flow - Go to Flow - or run it from the detail view - Run now.
Also, a cache record may be associated with more than one flow. It doesn’t happen often but when it does, you can choose which flow you want via the dropdown. The dropdown is only shown when there are multiple associated flows.
Related Records
You can see the related records defined by the flow steps for any data object. Open it in a new tab if you don’t want to leave the record details for the object.
Select an object from the Results list and choose the Related Records tab in the right pane. App Xchange displays any related objects.
Select the object to see its cache object records.
Use the link in the Related Records list to return to your initial data object.
Flow Data
The Flow Data Explorer can be found when viewing a flow. There are three tabs: Edit, Runs, and Data. The Flow Data Explorer works the same as Workspace Cache Explorer with a few tweaks.
Flow Data Explorer
Instead of having to select an App and a Cache Object, all available resources are parsed into a Quick Searches dropdown.
Quick Searches dropdown
The table also allows you to select records and Run Selected (when applicable).
Select All can be used to select either all visible or all available
For any records that are used in active flows, there is a dropdown menu that allows you to go that flow, run the flow using Run Now or view the flow run instances using View Runs. (This dropdown has the same functionality as the Triggered Flows timeline of the record detail, it’s just surfaced in the table for quicker access.)
