Connect a Spectrum Cloud Environment

Creating an Info-Link user in Spectrum is an essential step in connecting a Spectrum Cloud environment.

You must be a Spectrum administrator to complete these steps. These steps must be completed with a keyboard.

1. In Spectrum, navigate to Info-Link > User Security Maintenance.

2. Select New.

3. Select the appropriate company and enter XChangeServiceUser in the Database User field. Press Enter on your keyboard.

IMPORTANT: It will NOT work if you only select OK. You MUST press Enter on your keyboard.

4. Create a strong password and select OK.

5. Create a Viewpoint Support ticket and request the Upgrade Info-Link Access form to elevate the user’s permissions. This form is required to authorize this change. Once you receive the form, fill it out as instructed below.

  a. Select the checkbox for READ ONLY ACCESS.

b. Enter the Info-Link username including the company code (for example, XYZXChangeServiceUser).

c. Follow the link in the IP ADDRESS(ES) section and enter 13.84.41.168 in the IP address field

d. Enter your personal information into the Customer Name and Title fields.

e. Return the completed form to your support assistant.

6. Send your App Xchange Customer Success Manager the following information:

Important: Passwords must be securely shared via your preferred method.

Your Info-Link user has been created and registered. Proceed to the next step: Create a Spectrum Data Exchange.
