Base Connections for Integration Builders

Base connections give you more control over how users connect to connectors in an integration. As an integration builder, you can create a base connection to establish connection values, such as an OAuth Client or API Key, that are required for the integration to function properly. When a base connection is defined for an integration’s connector, customers must use it when setting up their connection.

Base Connections

The connectors page lists the base connections created for the integration. Each base connection lists the connection on which it is being used.

Create a Base Connection

For an integration product, define the client and other details that will be used every time that integration is used in a connector.

Your base connection is created.

Note: If you don’t see the new base, make sure you don’t have a filter set.

Base Connection Details, Usage, and Activities

The base connection details display the options selected for the base connection. These can be changed if there are no integrations using the base.

Select Delete Base Connection to remove the base. You can only delete connections you own, and you cannot delete a base connection that is in use.

If you make any changes, App Xchange displays the number of connections affected by the change.

Select Usage to see connections that are extending the base connection, including the account that owns it and whether it is unconnected.

Select the name of a connection to access the details of the connection extending the base connection. You can only change or see the details of connections defined by your account.

Select Activity Log to see the base configuration, when it was created, and if anything changed.
